Madonna Abandons the Notion of 'Sitting This One Out'

Has Madonna forsaken Her good buddy Rosie O'Donnell?

Madge is flying to New York to promote the tragically reviewed Luc Besson film Arthur and the Invisibles, for which She has generously - and no doubt artfully - supplied the voice of the character named Princess Selenia. There will be a screening in TriBeCa hosted by costar Robert Deniro. And what's a trip to New York without some good ol' fashioned TV appearances?

Today has already announced Her appearance on that show Thursday morning. And with rumors swirling about a potential sitdown on Live with Regis & Kelly (yes, again), one has to wonder, where's the love for The View? Surely the show's booker would have pushed any and all guests off the couch to make way for Her should She have opted to chat with those ladies again. Plus:

1. Rosie has been co-hosting for a few months, but Madonna has yet to be on air with Her old friend. She has now passed up two rounds of interviews to recapture the spark they displayed on Rosie's defunct talk show.

2. Ratings are bigger than ever thanks to the endless, much-publicized feud between Rosie and Donald Trump. Ratings = eyeballs = potential box office for Arthur. Which will need all the help it can get.

3. Madonna has done the show before but not so recently as to make it redundant.

4. And does She really want to re-visit the scene of the crime, NBC, which delivered still-smarting ratings for the Confessions Tour, so soon?

Just saying.
