Project: RSVP

Breaking personal news: I got engaged to my partner last weekend! We have been on cloud nine this whole week.

Unless a state recognizes marriages for out-of-state residents in the next few months, we plan on getting hitched in beautiful Montreal late next summer.

We're counting on maybe 150 - 200 guests, close friends and family, to celebrate the event.

And I want Madonna to be there.

Well, I know She won't be able to pop in to our nuptials a la Her greeting the lucky newlyweds in Rome - and, no, we're not really going to waste an invitation on the overbooked diva - but I do want some sort of Madonna presence.

That's where you, dear reader, come in. I want Madonna fans to vote for the Madonna song that will be played at our wedding reception.

I'm calling it Project: RSVP, and it will run for a while, at least until we've picked the band that will perform at the party (and show an ability to respectfully cover Madge).

Over the course of the next few months, I will post a selection of individual song lyrics to consider .. and I am open to nominations. Official voting will most likely take place next year, so it will be a very fluid process of nominations and discussion up to that point.

Please help me in selecting the way in which Madonna appears at what will surely be one of the most important days in my life. I can't think of who else better to do that than the fans.
