Behold, I Am Coming Soon

An overwhelming number of dedicated readers are eager to hear about my experience at the show last night. (Extra thanks to the person who Googled "G-Lock," "Confessions Tour review," "Madge," and "New York"! Welcome!)

I will get more into it when I have time, hopefully in the next day or two, but suffice it to say the spoiler warnings are officially turned off (unless there is demand to keep this site spoiler-free), as it will be full-court Confessions Tour madness as of my next post.

I'll give all the bloody details and, technology capabilties willing, upload some photos from the opening night at MSG, which was, pardon the cheesy pun, HOT in every sense of the term.

We had prime seats at the end of the central catwalk (truncated since the dress rehearsal) and got to rub elbows with Jamie King, Guy Oseary, Angela Becker, designer Patricia Fields, Madiva (in full equestrian drag), and Madonna's power lesbian posse (including Rosie and Ingrid).

There was an announcement about some video difficulties right before the show started - at about 9:10 (!!!) - but to the casual concertgoer, no glitches were noticeable. Madge looked good, sounded (just) a'ight, and managed to bring nearly 20,000 otherwise jaded New Yorkers to their feet for two hours.

And, no, I Love New York did not blow the roof of MSG. People were into the song, but Madge's delivery with just a rockin' guitar wasn't presentational enough to get the floor really rumbling. Ray of Light directly after, however, got the room quite literally quaking. I never experienced that at MSG.

Maybe She did feel like She just got "home," which She repeatedly called New York.
